PPS Picked To be Part of Exhibition On Reducing Waste

PPS, a leader in returnable transit packaging, has been recognised for its hard work and commitment in helping to make a difference in reducing waste by being asked to be part of a leading exhibit in London.
The business, known for its ability to work with numerous industries to supply reusable packaging was picked to be part of the Circular Living Exhibition. The exhibition is designed to showcase ways to reduce the huge amounts of waste produced through the construction industry.
The industry currently produces 800 million tonnes of waste each year, which represents one third of total EU annual waste production.
The organisers picked ‘pioneers’ from across the UK that are seen to be bucking the trend and finding innovative ways to reduce waste.  The various companies then came together for the exhibition in order to help educate the rest of the industry on the solutions that are already available.
Joanne Moss, managing director at PPS, said: “We were really excited to be part of this event as an endorsement of the hard work we’re doing to help the industry find ways to combat waste. It’s important that we get the message out there and educate as many people as possible on the simple ways we can reduce packaging waste as it’s a question for manufacturers that isn’t going to go away.
“It’s great to see that so many companies are working hard to make a difference in this area and we were proud to be asked to be a part of it.”
PPS employs more than 100 people across its business and seeks to provide cost effective and environmentally friendly returnable plastic packaging solutions across the UK and Europe.  PPS moves 25 million boxes a year for customers including retailers, food processors and the automotive industry.
