Respect the catch

Popularity of fishing based TV shows has helped highlight the importance of starting the supply chain as you mean to go on. Trawlermen was first aired on the BBC in 2006, with latest shows including Channel 4s Food Chain featuring Cornish seafood processor Falfish showcasing mackerel from sea to plate and The Catch following deep sea fishermen conducting one of Britain’s most dangerous jobs. The efforts shown to ensure a successful catch with such high risks that hopefully lead to plentiful rewards, reflect the importance of ensuring the fish is then stored and protected correctly to enable it to travel from sea to shop. The last thing any skipper wants is their catch getting damaged at sea or not staying fresh in unsuitable storage units.
